Recent studies have shown that simply tracking what you eat can help you live a healthier life
. (go ahead, google it!) However, maintaining a journal can be monotonous and time consuming.

There are a number of tools out there for managing a food journal. However, most of them require you to remember what you eat and fill it out later. This leads to wrong entries and general lazyness about doing it at all.

For the busy this is not a good solution. There are a number of applications coming for the iPhone that make it possible to track your nutrition on the go! Below is a link to iScale from All of Zero. Native iPhone and iPod Touch applications don't need internet access to work. They will be available whether you have connectivity or not.

All of Zero is a 3rd party iPhone developer designing and building both their own applications and others. They take a good idea and bring it to the market.

Derrek, I read that study about nine days after I began a food journal. I made it farther this time than I have in the past. But, I've stopped. Grrrrrrr....I believe it does help to record what we eat. I doubt if I'll start again anytime soon. I mainly want to keep up with the amount of water I drink so I use empty bottles for that.

Thanks for sharing this article with us!
